Woods & Co is partnered with a rapidly expanding specialty underwriting platform who are seeking a Head of Cyber to play a pivotal role and build out their national cyber practice. The candidate will have a remit of the whole U.S. cyber function from day one and a clear mandate to drive growth, build a team, and shape the underwriting strategy in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead U.S. cyber underwriting strategy and portfolio growth on a national basis.
• Build, hire, and mentor a scalable underwriting team as the platform expands.
• Define appetite, pricing, authority levels, and underwriting framework.
• Develop and deepen wholesale and retail broker relationships across the U.S.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and capacity providers to drive profitable growth.

About You

• Extensive experience in cyber underwriting within a carrier or MGA environment.
• Proven track record of building, growing, or managing a surety book of business.
• Commercial mindset with a strong focus on disciplined, profitable growth.
• Credible leader with the ability to attract and develop underwriting talent.
• Confident market-facing presence with established broker relationships.
