Finance Manager - Dallas
Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a high-growth, late-stage Business Payments & Rewards Fintech expanding its U.S. operations after significant international success. Backed by strong capital and proven technology, this business is building its North American presence from the ground up. They are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to help establish a rock-solid accounting foundation during this critical growth phase.
This is a high-ownership, build-from-scratch opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and being deeply embedded in the day-to-day operations of a scaling business. What will you be doing?
- Own end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for the U.S. entity
- Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and prepare financial statements
- Administer payroll and benefits, including onboarding/offboarding employees
- Oversee accounts payable workflows, vendor setup, and invoice approvals
- Track expenses and provide clear budget-to-actual reporting
- Partner with an international finance team to align reporting and policies
- Coordinate with external advisors on compliance and payroll-related matters
- Support operational teams by ensuring payment flows are accurately reflected
- Document processes and implement scalable financial controls
What do you need?
- 5+ years of accounting or finance operations experience
- Hands-on ownership of close and financial statement preparation
- Payroll and benefits administration experience (Rippling or similar)
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting platforms
- Strong Excel skills and comfort building reliable financial reporting
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity
- Based in Dallas and able to work in-office
