Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a high-growth, late-stage B2B Payments & Rewards Fintech expanding its U.S. operations after significant international success. Backed by $40M USD in funding at a $450M USD valuation and processing over $10.5B USD in transactions last year, this business is building its North American presence from the ground up. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant / Accounting Lead to help establish a rock-solid accounting foundation during this critical growth phase.
This is a high-ownership, build-from-scratch opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and being deeply embedded in the day-to-day operations of a fast-scaling business. Base salary: $100k–$115k

Own end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for the U.S. entity
Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and prepare accurate financial statements
Administer payroll and benefits, including onboarding/offboarding employees
Oversee accounts payable workflows, vendor setup, and invoice approvals
Track expenses and provide clear budget-to-actual reporting
Partner with the international finance team to align reporting, policies, and controls
Coordinate with external advisors on compliance, tax, and payroll matters
Support operational teams by ensuring payments and financial flows are accurately captured
Document processes and implement scalable, audit-ready financial controls
5+ years of accounting or finance operations experience
Hands-on ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation
Payroll and benefits administration experience (Rippling or similar)
Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting platforms
Strong Excel skills and comfort building reliable financial reporting
High ownership mindset with ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
Based in Dallas with ability to work in-office
Nice-to-haves:
CPA or CPA-track
Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services
Comfort presenting financial results to senior stakeholders
