Quality Assurance Specialist

Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a fast-growing, internationally backed packaging manufacturer that is expanding its U.S. footprint. Operating out of a state-of-the-art production facility, this business specializes in high-quality, custom-designed food packaging solutions for major commercial clients. With a strong focus on speed, sustainability, and product excellence, they are now seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support and uphold their operational standards.

What do you do?

• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records and reports
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformances during production
• Support root cause analysis and assist with corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
• Follow established SOPs, inspection protocols, and testing procedures
• Partner closely with production and operations teams to address quality issues in real time
• Assist in internal audits and support external audit preparation
• Ensure adherence to food-grade packaging regulations and safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes

What do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
• 1–3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing
• Experience in packaging or food-grade environments is a plus
• Familiarity with QA systems, inspection processes, and documentation practices
• Exposure to regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, etc.) is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a production environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working on the production floor
