Allowing business to earn points and rewards for everyday business costs (bills, suppliers, wages etc.) this business is on an incredible rise and now looking for a Business Development Manager - West Coast to be one of their first, and most pivotal US hires to help drive the product into the US market!
As a Business Development Manager, you will leverage your existing network of SMB's across the West Coast region. This role would be ideal for a Business Banking Specialist or someone who has sold HR, Payroll, 401k or Payment systems into businesses with 1-500 staff. You will nurture relationships, present the product offering and ensure the smooth use of the payments platform.

What do you do?
- Identify, target, and win new business clients that can benefit from the company’s payment solutions
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects through outbound outreach, referrals, and networking
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, finance teams, procurement leaders)
- Present and demonstrate payment products (e.g., AP/AR automation, cross-border payments, merchant services)
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts to close deals
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align go-to-market strategies
- Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools
- Stay on top of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the payments space
What do you need? - 5+ years’ experience in B2B business development, field sales, or commercial roles, with a proven track record of generating self-sourced pipeline and converting new business
- An existing, activatable network of US SMB decision-makers (business owners, CFOs, controllers, bookkeepers, CPAs, or commercial bankers) – essential requirement
- Background in fintech, payments, SaaS, financial services, or adjacent sectors such as rewards/loyalty strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle end-to-end, from cold outreach through to close, and ongoing account management
- Confident navigating multi-stakeholder SMB sales, engaging business owners, internal finance teams, and external advisors
