Operations Supervisor- Catering & Events
Woods & Co Recruitment is currently partnered with a boutique catering company based in the East Village known for creating vibrant, produce-driven, and beautifully simplistic food. They are an industry leader working with top brands, media agencies, and producers across NYC. Together, we are on the lookout for an Operations Supervisor who shares a passion for all things food and hospitality to help lead the business into its next stage of expansion. A full-time schedule, generally working 6am/7am to 4pm Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend work expected based on the week and seasonality).
Salary- 70k-80k contingent on experience.

What do you do?
Supervise general daily operations at the kitchen facility and manage the driver and operations teams.
Manage delivery schedules, daily driver routes, and oversee the expediting of product from the kitchen to packing vehicles.
Oversee all packing for daily drop-off catering as well as full-service events, including styling items and beverages.
Recruit, train, schedule, and continually assess operations staff, completing performance reviews.
Track daily operational costs, manage vendor invoices, and collaborate with ownership to track profitability and recommend cost reductions.
Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, licensing, insurances, and ensure health and safety procedures are met during opening and closing procedures.
3+ years of prior operational leadership experience in a hospitality and/or catering setting.
A current NY State Drivers License and the ability to drive and operate a catering van and box truck.
The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, making well-thought-out decisions in high-pressure situations.
A great knowledge of food and food processes.
The physical ability to be on your feet for most of the day, maneuver through all kitchen areas, and lift at least 50 pounds.
English fluency (Spanish fluency is highly preferred).
