A&D Sales Specialist

Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a high-end provider of acoustic solutions that blend performance and aesthetics, offering tailored sound solutions for architectural spaces like offices, museums, concert halls, and public buildings. This business is seeking a Senior Sales Specialist to further expand their sales efforts in the north-east.
  
This candidate will come with experience within the building materials sector and have strong ties and connections into the A&D community across New York and the surrounding areas. You’ll lead Business Development and Marketing efforts, travel the north-east (20%) and be a key figure in the continued growth of this global organization.

What do you do?
  • Develop and execute business development plans and sales strategies in close coordination with this company's Acoustics Director and the local Managing Director
  • Grow this company’s acoustics client base by targeting leading architects, designers, general contractors, and major international projects within the assigned region
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, measured by key performance indicators such as monthly client meetings, lead generation, issued quotes, and closed deals
  • Build and deepen relationships with contractors, project managers, and end-users, with a focus on securing high-value regional projects
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales Managers and internal support teams to generate leads and pursue business opportunities
  • Become a subject-matter expert on this company’s acoustics solutions, acting as a technical advisor to inform and guide key clients and prospects
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely proposals, covering pricing, delivery timelines, and sales terms
  • Continuously analyze market trends and data to uncover new opportunities, product enhancements, and potential challenges

  • Analytical mindset with strong skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and time management
  • Highly driven, energetic, and self-motivated—takes initiative and follows through
  • Pragmatic and action-oriented; focused on execution and outcomes
  • Embraces a hands-on, solution-focused attitude with a willingness to try new approaches
  • Multilingual abilities are an added asset
