Building Automation Controls Technician based in
New Jersey/New York.
We are seeking a
Building Automation Controls Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and energy management systems. The ideal candidate has experience with DDC systems, electrical/mechanical controls, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.

What do you do:
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service on BMS systems, independently troubleshooting installations and correcting deficiencies.
- Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimal system performance and fine-tune operations as new programs and sequences are implemented.
- Identify opportunities for building enhancements and perform upgrades or small-scale retrofits, including software programming, equipment start-up, tuning, calibration, and commissioning of BAS systems.
- Be proficient in the knowledge of the following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and Lighting.
- Stay current on industry developments and energy-saving strategies, leveraging Automated Logic’s Dealer website for technical updates, solutions, and system improvements.
- Travel Required up to 25%
What do you need: - Field experience in HVAC controls, including DDC system commissioning, software integration, operation, calibration, and pneumatic controls, with proficiency in Automated Logic commissioning tools and field circuit debugging.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, WebCTRL, Autocad, and various operating systems.
- Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated, and achieving customer satisfaction.
- Deploy, update, test, and commission building automation, DDC, and energy management systems, including hardware, software, and graphics.
- Field Supervisor positions are also available for individuals with more than 3-4 years’ experience and capable of supervising subcontractors.
