Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer specializing in sustainable paper packaging. With multiple locations in the USA and Shanghai, this organization produces take-out boxes, paper cups, food trays, folding cartons, popcorn tubs, ice cream cups, and more.
With some recent client acquisitions and site expansion, our client is now seeking a highly experienced Production Manager with strong experience in sustainable paper packaging, experience overseeing staff and working with machinery. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is unafraid to take on new challenges, is motivated and determined to get the job finished.
This is a dynamic position. The company is growing quickly and expanding its footprint / distribution. The ideal candidate will acclimate quickly and evolve as the company’s objectives and needs evolve. It is important to note that this is a general summary of responsibilities to get pointed in the right direction, but by no means comprehensive. Things can change quickly in manufacturing, and so must our capacity to adapt!

What do you do? - Oversee costs and budgets.
- Liaise with suppliers.
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively.
- Oversee machine maintenance.
- Implementation and streamlining of processes and procedures.
- Optimize production processes.
- Basic production and forming.
- Stakeholder management.
- Oversee quality assurance and control.
- Report into the Vice President.
- Oversee Office Manager, Supervisor and Floor Team.
What do you need? - End-to-end understanding of the packaging manufacturing processes.
- Understanding off machines (steel, hydraulics, compressed air, timing belts, VFD and electronics)
- Experience in leading a team.
- Ability to speak Mandarin HIGHLY favourable.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
