Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer specializing in sustainable paper packaging. With multiple locations in the USA and Shanghai, this organization produces take-out boxes, paper cups, food trays, folding cartons, popcorn tubs, ice cream cups, and more.
With some recent client acquisitions and site expansion, our client is now seeking a highly organized Office Administrator, with strict compliance responsibilities and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is unafraid to take on new challenges, is motivated and determined to get the job finished.
This is a dynamic position. The company is growing quickly and expanding its footprint / distribution. The ideal candidate will acclimate quickly and evolve as the company’s objectives and needs evolve. It is important to note that this is a general summary of responsibilities to get pointed in the right direction, but by no means comprehensive. Things can change quickly in manufacturing, and so must our ability and capacity to adapt!

What do you do: - Responsible for all site OSHA and Food safety and BRC requirements.
- A heavy focus on health & safety compliance.
- Maintain a standard open and close procedure, and routine.
- Handle day-to-day office operations and management.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and adaptability to new challenges.
- Interstate and international travel (this role will encompass all sites, including China).
- Report directly into leadership team and third party providers.
- Highland Ag Solution software management.
- Maintain safe, clean and healthy work environments across the business.
- General administration and reporting.
- General HR responsibilities.
- Running partial operations between factories.
What do you need: - Organizational skills (process driven).
- Strong attention to detail with an auditing focus (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Experience running open and close procedures.
- Comfortable with responsibility.
- Comfortable working in a factory environment and experience in such a setting.
- Ability to work with timelines and deadlines
- Experience with quality management systems.
- Valid Driver’s license (travel between office and factories will be required).
- Ability to speak Chinese highly favorable.
- An understanding of Global Food Safety Initiative principles highly favorable.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a positive can-do attitude.
