Woods & Co Recruitment have been granted the opportunity to partner with an exciting new venue opening! Based in Tribeca, this speciality Wine & Tapas bar will be one of the hottest tickets in town, and we are on the lookout for a Managing Partner to take ownership over the operation. This role will provide you the opportunity for this place to be “yours” and have a say in all the critical decisions.

As the Managing Partner you will possess a deep knowledge of the NYC Hospitality scene and have experience managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a high-end venue.

What do you do?

  • Supervise daily operations, including opening and closing procedures

  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked with wine, beverages, and supplies

  • Maintain a clean, organized bar and seating areas

  • Recruit, train, and oversee bartenders, servers, and support staff.

  • Create staff schedules while managing labor costs.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address staff concerns or conflicts.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and quickly resolve guest complaints.

  • Implement strategies to improve the guest experience.

  • Manage reservations and special events for a smooth customer journey.

  • Monitor inventory and place orders for wine, beverages, and supplies.

  • Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms.

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent losses and ensure accuracy.

What do you need?

  • Over 3 years of managerial experience, preferably in a wine bar setting.

  • Strong knowledge of wine varieties, pairings, and current industry trends.

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Proficient in using POS systems and inventory management software.

  • Excellent presentation skills
