Quality Assurance Specialist
Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a fast-growing, internationally backed packaging manufacturer that is expanding its U.S. footprint. Operating out of a state-of-the-art production facility, this business specializes in high-quality, custom-designed food packaging solutions for major commercial clients. With a strong focus on speed, sustainability, and product excellence, they are now seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support and uphold their operational standards.

What do you do?
- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records and reports
- Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformances during production
- Support root cause analysis and assist with corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
- Follow established SOPs, inspection protocols, and testing procedures
- Partner closely with production and operations teams to address quality issues in real time
- Assist in internal audits and support external audit preparation
- Ensure adherence to food-grade packaging regulations and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing
- Experience in packaging or food-grade environments is a plus
- Familiarity with QA systems, inspection processes, and documentation practices
- Exposure to regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, etc.) is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a production environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working on the production floor
