URGENT HIRE: Printer Operator

Location: Irvine, CA

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: $20-$25 per hour

Shift: Monday- Friday 2:30pm-11:45pm


Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a fast-growing, internationally backed packaging manufacturer specializing in custom printed paperboard food packaging. With operations supporting a wide range of industries—from quick-service restaurants and cinema chains to foodservice and retail—this company produces high-quality branded packaging including cups, popcorn tubs, and takeout containers. They are seeking a skilled Printer Operator to join their production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for operating industrial printing equipment used to apply high-quality graphics, logos, and product information to paperboard packaging. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with printing or manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Operate industrial printing presses used to print branding, graphics, and product information on paperboard packaging.

  • Setup: Set up print jobs including loading materials, installing printing plates, and adjusting ink levels.

  • Quality Control: Monitor production runs to ensure consistent print quality, color accuracy, and alignment. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure packaging meets company and client specifications, and ensure all production targets are met while maintaining strict quality standards.

  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot printing issues such as smudging, misalignment, or ink inconsistencies.

  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain optimal machine performance through routine cleaning and basic maintenance. Follow workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean production environment.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams including die cutting, converting, and packaging operators.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience operating printing presses or manufacturing machinery. Experience with flexographic, offset, or digital printing equipment is highly desirable. Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.

  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Technical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues. Ability to read and follow production specifications and job orders.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods during production runs.
