Woods & Co Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for an Industrial Designer role focused on maintaining and improving the integrity of existing product design while building a complete library of files and records required for production.

This is a role for a creative problem-solver who enjoys bringing ideas to life, blending aesthetics and usability with real-world manufacturing realities. What you’ll do:

• Conceptualize and design new products, balancing aesthetics, usability, materials, costs, and manufacturing constraints
• Create sketches, 3D models, and renderings using software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design solutions
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source materials, review samples, and evaluate production feasibility
• Maintain and organize the design library, including schematic drawings, DXF files, technical specifications, material samples, and inspiration resources

What we’re looking for:

• Experience designing new products with strong attention to aesthetics, usability, materials, costs, and manufacturing feasibility
• Ability to create sketches, 3D models, and renderings using tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing
• Strong organizational skills to build and maintain a comprehensive design library of production-ready records
• Comfort collaborating with vendors and suppliers to support material sourcing, sample review, and production feasibility
