At ChefScape Kitchen, we operate a multi-concept, fast-paced food hall that supports catering and innovative culinary initiatives, all while prioritizing high-quality food and a collaborative team atmosphere. What you’ll do:
- Prepare your assigned station before service, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, stocked, and prepped according to recipes and standards
- Cook and plate menu items efficiently during service, following recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
- Continuously taste and check food quality to meet ChefScape’s high standards
- Coordinate with team members and expeditor to ensure timely, accurate, and attractive plating
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in your workstation, adhering to health regulations
- Label, store, and communicate regarding low stock or equipment issues
- Perform end-of-shift station breakdown, deep cleaning, and proper storage of leftovers
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a line cook in a busy commercial kitchen
- Valid ServSafe Food Handler or equivalent certification, or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and equipment
- Ability to learn multiple stations and adapt quickly to new culinary concepts
- Excellent verbal communication skills for effective teamwork
- Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours)
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working in temperature-varied environments (hot kitchens, cold walk-ins)
