Controls Service Technician

This is a HVAC Field Technician role, offering 70,000 - 100,000.
This is an onsite role in New York, NY (Westchester).

What you’ll do:
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS
- Install, troubleshoot and repair system components including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking devices
- Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct
- Perform functional testing and system validation
- Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are
- Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems
- Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimations
- Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS
- Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, and Chiller Water Systems
- Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies
- Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by relevant parties
What we’re looking for:
- Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic tools
- Experience with Honeywell Niagara/Tridium N4 is preferred
- Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering
- Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, N4 Workbench, and AutoCAD
- Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction
- Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware
