Woods & Co Recruitment is excited to partner with a long-established premium manufacturer of ceilings delivering engineered solutions for landmark buildings around the world. Serving the aviation, transit, healthcare, and corporate office sectors across North America, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth in the US market and is looking for an experienced National Sales Director to lead the charge.
What's in it for you?
- A senior leadership seat on the North American leadership team, with real influence over strategy, resourcing, and go-to-market direction.
- High visibility with a premium, globally respected brand — representing the business at the executive level with top architects, contractors, and owners.
- A genuine opportunity to shape a business entering its next stage of growth, including expansion into Texas and evaluation of the West Coast market.
- A people-first leadership mandate — the chance to build, coach, and grow a high-performing sales team.
- Set and execute the North American sales strategy, prioritizing NYC, building out the Texas market, and scoping future West Coast expansion.
- Own commercial performance for the region — deliver annual revenue and margin targets, and maintain strong pipeline coverage.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team: recruit, onboard, coach, and manage performance.
- Drive CRM discipline and forecasting rigor, running monthly pipeline reviews and delivering reliable, no-surprise forecasts to leadership.
- Represent the business at the executive level with architects, contractors, owners, and at industry events.
- Sit on the North American leadership team, driving process improvement and close collaboration with British stakeholders.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a similar national or regional sales leadership role, ideally within building products, architectural, or related manufacturing sectors.
- A degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Highly customer-focused, with a passion for improving client experience and outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage both customers and internal stakeholders, including international teams.
- An analytical, structured, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive results.
- Strong executive presence, consistent with a premium brand.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel, with an ongoing presence in New York City (approximately 1–2 weeks per month).
